Anatomy of a Precision Grind

A cross-section look at the H-Masters mechanism: teeth geometry, chamber tolerances, and the magnetic alignment system that makes every grind repeatable.

Open a cheap grinder and you will find tolerances measured in millimetres. Open an H-Masters and you will find them measured in microns. The gap between upper and lower chambers is held to ±25µm — tighter than most consumer machine tools.

That precision matters because hash particle size determines burn rate. A loose grinder produces a bimodal distribution — half dust, half clumps — and your session burns unevenly. Tight tolerances produce a single, predictable particle band.

The magnetic alignment ring uses six N52 neodymium segments, oriented for a satisfying half-twist click into position. It is not decoration. It guarantees the teeth mesh at the same angle every time you reassemble after cleaning.

Every unit is tested on a calibrated rig before it ships. If torque, alignment, or chamber clearance fall outside spec, the unit does not leave the factory.
